LFM's Pull List: Issue #58 “An Evening with Faro” Los and Vito D take a break from the usual format to bring you their conversation with Faro Kane, writer and creator of the time traveling adventure FARO. Faro Kane takes us on a journey from concept to creation of the graphic novel and all the things that came along the way. This is an episode you won’t want to miss.

Lil Furry Monster Presents: LFM's Pull List: Issue #57 “Damn Dirty Apes”

LFM's Pull List: Issue #57 “Damn Dirty Apes” It’s a new Dawn, it’s a new day and I’m feeling…. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has hit theaters but is it more than just a super long movie title? We’ll let you know if you should spend your time with Caesar and company. Not much news in the geek world this week and Vito D used that as his opportunity to pump up his hopeful Game of Thrones show and he’s asking you guys to chip in. He may be a little late to the party but let’s welcome him all the same and see if we can’t give him some of the help he’s asking for. The comic book world did receive some great news this week, Batgirl is getting a new creative team and the LFM crew is very excited about it. We’ve got the details on that for you. Keeping the comic talk going, we’ve got our picks for the week. Kicking things off is an Image title, surprised? I know. Justin Jordan brings us Spread #1. Los is surprised by the Dynamite title Chastity #1. Vito D brings us Spider-Man 2099 #1 and Daredevil #5 and Los comes back with DC’s Grayson #1 and a look at the afterlife with The Life After from Joshua Hale Fialkov. All this and more right here on episode 57, Hail Caesar!

Lil Furry Monster Presents: LFM's Pull List: Issue #56 “I Am Groot”

LFM's Pull List: Issue #56 “I Am Groot” A day late for seventeen minutes??? Seventeen minutes? You Damn Right! Seventeen minutes of pure awesomeness. We got a sneak peek at the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie and man can we not wait for more. We’ve got our take on what we think will be the movie event of the year. Florida Supercon came and went this past weekend. We get to hear Los’ adventures at the con and find out a little about some exciting things coming to the show. Then if it weren’t for that rag tag of space Guardians this episode could have been titled the Joshua Williamson hour. We got two books from Mr. Williamson cracking our top picks of the week. First up we’ve got the always amazing Nailbiter #3 followed by the new Robocop #1. Finally a Robocop Vito D can hold his head up high about. Have we talked about those Guardians yet? Rocket Raccoon blasts his way into our hearts with his new solo title from Skottie Young. The Legendary Star-Lord gets his own solo title as well. Amazing Spider-Man #3 has Vito D’s attention this week and we get a great jumping on point to Jeff Lemire’s awesome Green Arrow run with Green Arrow #33. Plus Southern Bastards #3 makes our must read list and should be on yours as well. All this plus the LFM crew has some exciting news about hitting the road again for some appearances. Those Guardians though…..

Lil Furry Monster Presents: LFM's Pull List: Issue #55 “More Than Meets the Eye”

LFM's Pull List: Issue #55 “More Than Meets the Eye” It’s a Vito D takeover. Los swore he wouldn’t be caught dead anywhere near Transformers: Age of Extinction so while he was out living his rock star dreams, Vito D used the opportunity to bring us his review of the latest installment in the Transformers movie franchise. Hey, Mark Wahlberg is in it! It was a good week for Vito D. The highly anticipated Geoff Johns / John Romita Jr. takeover of Superman has finally arrived with issue #32. Did the new issue stack up or is Vito D’s hero doomed for mediocrity since his name is not Batman. Our other comic picks of the week include Robert Kirkman’s Outcast #1, Stray Bullets #4 and Alex + Ada #7. Remember when we told you Los was out living his rock star dreams? We meant in front of the stage of course, not on it. Los went to see his beloved Phantogram and wait until you hear about the tri-county nonsense he got himself into this time. Only Los….

Lil Furry Monster Presents: LFM's Pull List: Issue #54 “Everything is Awesome”

LFM's Pull List: Issue #54 “Everything is Awesome” Big Star Wars news broke this week. Find out who’s got the keys to the rebellion’s future. Los may have to now convert to Marvel since two of his loves belong to the Marvel Universe, We’ve got some exciting Daredevil news. Plus Game of Thrones has finished its season and Vito D has yet caught up but that doesn’t stop Los from providing him some true and maybe not so true spoilers. Remember a ways back when Los got cold feet when it came to seeing the Lego Movie? We’ll fear not now, with the recent home video release he was able to enjoy it in the comfort and safety of his own home. The results were a bit surprising leading the guys to discuss some of their all time most embarrassing movies ever watched. We’re still trying to figure out why these guys admit this stuff…

One thing they weren’t embarrassed about was this week’s comic book picks. Image has dropped an instant classic with The Wicked + Divine #1, Sex Criminals #6 begins a new ark, Daredevil #4 is in here so Vito D meets his Marvel quota and Big Trouble in Little China gets the comic sequel Los had no idea anyone had asked for. All this and so much more, as you all know these guys love to bounce all over the geek landscape, come be part of our world. Everything is Awesome. (Sorry he got it in our heads)

Lil Furry Monster Presents: LFM's Pull List: Issue #53 “The Edge of May-Hem”

LFM's Pull List: Issue #53 “The Edge of May-Hem” The guys are back! We finally get a rundown of what actually took place in Orlando at Spooky Empire’s May-Hem convention. Los brings us some great sci-fi action with his review of The Edge of Tomorrow. Rumors of DC’s possible future movie lineup have been revealed. Han Solo is broken. Aquaman is a bad ass. Man, a lot has happened since we’ve been away. That means a lot of great books have been released too.

Nailbiter continues to be one of the greatest comics out there. We’ve got our thoughts on issue #2. Warren Ellis’ Trees #1 gives us a different take on the alien invasion. Southern Bastards drops its second issue. Vito jumps back on the Spider-Man bandwagon with the Amazing Spider-Man #2. Los brings us some creepy goodness with The Empty Man #1. Plus we’ve got the new Image title Red City #1.

Pay close attention this week, you may just get your hands on some prizes. Why only let the live crowds have all the fun? Keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter throughout the week for more details.

As most of you know, it’s been a rough couple of weeks for the LFM family and we’d like to thank you for the support we received from all of you. We’re glad to be back on the horse and we’re happy to bring you this new episode. Have a great week everyone!

Lil Furry Monster Presents: LFM's Pull List: Issue #52 “Talk S*** Get Shot"

LFM's Pull List: Issue #52 “Talk S*** Get Shot” It’s our last week in the studio before we hit the road to May-Hem and we have a lot to get to. Expectations were high for the new GODZILLA, I believe Los’ words were “Movie of the Summer”. How did the King of Monsters stack up? Is the title of “Movie of the Summer” still out there for the taking? And if so can Wolverine and Co. stick their claws into it? We’ll let you know with our review of X-MEN: DAYS of FUTURE PAST. We may still have to wait a couple of years but we’ve got our title for Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel follow up; BATMAN v. SUPERMAN: DAWN of JUSTICE. More importantly we got our first look at Affleck in the Bat-Suit. Los has never been more excited. What would a Pull List episode be without ARROW? We’re going to find out now that the season is over but not before we take a look back at the finale. We also got our first peek at the upcoming THE FLASH series and it looks like we’ll have some new competition for Mr. Queen and company. The fall TV season is going to be a good place for comic book fans.

It’s been a few weeks now since the release of Nailbiter #1 and its greatness may have ruined all other comics for Los but Vito D has a new title for us that looks to satisfy the wait for issue #2. THE UNITED STATES OF MURDER #1 from the creative team that brought us POWERS is our comic pick of the week and oh yeah, FOREVER EVIL ended. So yeah that happened too. Enjoy the new episode and we’ll see you next week at May-Hem in Orlando. There’s still time to get tickets so head over to www.spookyempire.com to join the party.

Lil Furry Monster Presents: LFM's Pull List: Issue #51 “Dammit Chloe”

LFM's Pull List: Issue #51 “Dammit Chloe” The following takes place between……events occur in real time. The guys return to the studio this week with a lot to get to. Oh Jack Bauer how Los has missed you but was 24: Live Another Day the welcome reunion Los had hoped for? Following last week’s mysterious Star Wars debacle we get to follow up the loss with come Episode VII talk, from the cast to the possible title, our excitement for the new trilogy is high. Not as high as Los should’ve been when he watched Escape from Tomorrow, the film shot guerilla style at the “happiest place on earth”, Disney World.  DC Animation brought us the newly released Son of Batman with surprisingly, no cameo from Maury Povich. Paternity tests aside, did the latest effort live up to the normally stellar animated features? From one dad to another, Oliver Queen has his hands full with Deathstroke and his army of mini-me’s. We take a look at Arrow and its upcoming season finale. Marvel made some big TV news this week involving Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the long rumored Agent Carter. The comic book world is one of our favorite places and this week we got a release that made it even more special. Already a show favorite, Joshua Williamson elevated himself to “Lemire Status” for Los with Nailbiter #1; one of our most anticipated titles of the year since its announcement at Image Expo. If you think comics aren’t your thing, read Nailbiter #1 and then we’ll talk. James Tynion IV brought us his first original comic series with The Woods #1. Vito D tries to make amends to all the Spidey fans out there with his review of Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man #1 and he also updates us on Marvel’s new event Original Sin. Not to be outdone, DC has an event of their own, a weekly one at that. I know what you’re saying, “How can we have another event when the last one hasn’t even finished?” We’re going to pretend that we’re DC and ask that you just forget about that, they moved on and so should we. Remember that Lemire guy Los refers to ALL THE TIME? If it weren’t for Brain Azzarello and Jeff Lemire Los would never be recommending The New 52’s Futures End. Only those two can make Los forget the Forever Evil fail and move on. Plus Batman Beyond is involved! Episode 51 is here for your enjoyment, welcome new friends to the LFM family!

LFM's Pull List: Issue #50 “Live from Free Comic Book Day: Spiders, Snyders and Sabers” Los and Vito D step out of the confines of the LFM studio and take the Pull List to Free Comic Book Day. Recorded live at Docking Bay 94 Comics and Games in Coconut Creek, Florida, Episode 50 is here. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 got these started this week. Was Mark Webb’s second effort worth swinging into the theater for? From a Spider to a Snyder; news broke just hours after last week’s episode, The Justice League movie is coming and so it the hate. Los and Vito D discuss where they stand, are they Team Snyder? Plus, what better way to kick of May the 4th than with some exciting Star Wars news? Finally the cast has been revealed. Star Wars Episode VII is all the rage around here. Of course how could we spend 10 hours in a comic book store and not bring you our comic picks of the week. First up fix yourself a cup of sweet tea and travel down south with Image’s Southern Bastards #1. Peter Parker is having a big week! First he returns to the big screen but more importantly to the Marvel comic universe. Amazing Spider-Man #1 is here, web diapers and all. DC Comic’s Batman Eternal still has out attention as issue #4 releases and Dark Horse brings us new Star Wars with Star Wars Rebel Heist #1. We had a blast meeting people all day and hanging with the crowds. Luckily we were able to have the extremely talented artist Jude Millien sit down with us to discuss his comics career and his exciting upcoming creator owned project ABSOLUTE. Thanks again to Docking Bay 94 for having us and welcome to the LFM family new friends and listeners!
