Lil Furry Monster Presents: LFM's Pull List: Issue #64 “Los and Vito D’s Super Badass Pull List Podcast”

LFM's Pull List: Issue #64 “Los and Vito D’s Super Badass Pull List Podcast” Not much going on in theaters these days luckily Captain America: The Winter Soldier has released on Blu-ray. They haven’t added any more Falcon so is it worth your dollars? Netflix never lets Los down. No Bollywood this week though instead he sparked up with Jay & Silent Bob’s Super Groovy Cartoon Movie. Pretty soon there may be as many Superhero TV shows on TV as Reality shows. Supergirl and Teen Titans may be heading the small screen. Speaking of “Reality TV”, Vito D just can’t help himself as he tries to push his Utopia on us. If Los has to sit through it so do all of you. You’re Welcome. If it’s not awful reality TV Vito D fills his time with its video games. This week he has the popular Destiny and he actually scares Los with his recommendation of Outlast. Nightmares mean no sleep; no sleep means more time to read! Our Comic Picks of the week start off with Stumptown #1, Grant Morrison’s Annihilator #1, Spread #3, Velvet #7, RoboCop #3, Boom’s Wild’s End and finished off with the Sci-Fi Western from Image, Copperhead #1. Snootches!!!!

Lil Furry Monster Presents: LFM's Pull List: Issue #63 “Shazam, Nice Hood 25 Cents”

LFM's Pull List: Issue #63 “Shazam, Nice Hood 25 Cents” Finally the Rock has come to the DC Universe. News was confirmed while we were away that the Rock has been cast as Black Adam in the upcoming Shazam movie, but who will play the title character? We discuss it this week along with the casting of Arrow’s Ras Al Ghul. The Walking Dead spin-off has been green lit to pilot but do we need more Walking Dead? What else have we been up to while we’ve been gone you ask? Well apparently Vito D has been sitting in front of his game console for two weeks; luckily for us he’s got some video game reviews. Diablo III, Madden NFL 15 and Wolfenstein make his must list.  Los isn’t impressed but that’s not a surprise. If it doesn’t involve a soccer ball or Batman Los would much rather use his Xbox has a TV remote. Thankfully there were plenty of books to read over the last couple weeks. Vito D has the perennial list topper Nailbiter #5, Southern Bastards #4, Outcast #3, Guardians of the Galaxy #18 and his love child Transformers v. G.I. Joe #2. Los felt he should be part of comic book history so he decided to pick up Marvel’s The Death of Wolverine #1.  His love of the supernatural found him wrapped up in Valiant’s Death-Defying Doctor Mirage #1. Vertigo’s The Names #1 made the list and he finishes off with his top book from a week back, Dark Horse’s Pop #1.

Lil Furry Monster Presents: LFM's Pull List: Issue #62 “Dames and Doctors”

LFM's Pull List: Issue #61 “Dames and Doctors” It may have bombed at the box office but that didn’t stop us from being excited about Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. We’ve had to wait quite awhile for the Sin City sequel, was it worth it?   Los brings us another couple of movies this week. First up the campy horror movie All Cheerleaders Die and the found footage horror attempt The Upper Footage. We got some behind the scenes looks at the upcoming TV series Gotham and in the return of Dr. Who. Although we’re not quite sure Los watched the right episode. Pretty sure Wood Rocket’s Dr. Whore XXX was not on the BBC but April O’Neil is involved and she’s one of the coolest people on the planet so we’ll forgive him. In comics this week Vito D couldn’t wait to let us all know about Image’s The Fade Out #1 from Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips. He also has The Wicked & The Divine #3, Spider-Man 2099 #2, Velvet # 6 and Stray Bullets #6. Los surprises us with his pick of Batman and Robin #34 but he still has a bone to pick with the recent direction of the Bat.

Lil Furry Monster Presents: LFM's Pull List: Issue #61 "Bowling for Arkham"

LFM's Pull List: Issue #61 “Bowling for Arkham” The guys were a Hollywood minute away from leaving the podcast world behind for a “King” sized opportunity proposed at last week’s convention. Luckily for us all, tragedy was averted and they are back with episode 61. Los dives right in with another journey into the world of DC’s Animated Originals with Batman: Assault on Arkham. We got to see some concept art from Star Wars EP VII which led us into a discussion about movie merchandise and the state of the toy world. Vito D still refuses to see the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles but luckily he’s got some comics to review for the week starting with Daredevil #6, Outcast #2, Batman #34 and Superman #33. Of course Sex Criminals #7 made our list for the week along with Genius #2; then Los shocks us all with his pick of Godzilla: Cataclysm #1.

Lil Furry Monster Presents: LFM's Pull List: Issue #59 “Dancing with the Star-Lord”

LFM's Pull List: Issue #59 “Dancing with the Star-Lord” The Guardians of the Galaxy are here and they’ve taken the LFM universe by storm. Hear about the movie that has Los running around for days now covered in leaves and branches shouting “I Am Los”. Speaking of storms, Los was full of joy and happiness over his new favorite movie when Vito D changes everything by bringing up Sharknado 2. That’s right, from greatness to garbage, the only way LFM knows how. You think NY had it bad with the sharks? Wait until you hear what Los has for the Big Apple. San Diego Comic Con came and went while we were away and a few interesting things were revealed. The guys discuss a few of their stand out convention moments from Arrow to Batman v. Superman teaser and the Wonder Woman reveal and a possible new LFM film project involving King Kong and Godzilla. Vito D not wanting to be left out of the childhood joy Los had for the Guardians brings us a comic book he’s been waiting for all his life, G.I. Joe v. Transformers from IDW. We’ve got some other great picks of the week for you as well; Ragnarok from Walter Simonson, Bodies from Vertigo and George R.R. Martin’s In the House of the Worm.

Faro Kane takes us on a journey from concept to creation of the graphic novel and all the things that came along the way. This is an episode you won’t want to miss.

Lil Furry Monster Presents: LFM's Pull List: Issue #57 “Damn Dirty Apes”

LFM's Pull List: Issue #57 “Damn Dirty Apes” It’s a new Dawn, it’s a new day and I’m feeling…. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has hit theaters but is it more than just a super long movie title? We’ll let you know if you should spend your time with Caesar and company. Not much news in the geek world this week and Vito D used that as his opportunity to pump up his hopeful Game of Thrones show and he’s asking you guys to chip in. He may be a little late to the party but let’s welcome him all the same and see if we can’t give him some of the help he’s asking for. The comic book world did receive some great news this week, Batgirl is getting a new creative team and the LFM crew is very excited about it. We’ve got the details on that for you. Keeping the comic talk going, we’ve got our picks for the week. Kicking things off is an Image title, surprised? I know. Justin Jordan brings us Spread #1. Los is surprised by the Dynamite title Chastity #1. Vito D brings us Spider-Man 2099 #1 and Daredevil #5 and Los comes back with DC’s Grayson #1 and a look at the afterlife with The Life After from Joshua Hale Fialkov. All this and more right here on episode 57, Hail Caesar!

Lil Furry Monster Presents: LFM's Pull List: Issue #56 “I Am Groot”

LFM's Pull List: Issue #56 “I Am Groot” A day late for seventeen minutes??? Seventeen minutes? You Damn Right! Seventeen minutes of pure awesomeness. We got a sneak peek at the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie and man can we not wait for more. We’ve got our take on what we think will be the movie event of the year. Florida Supercon came and went this past weekend. We get to hear Los’ adventures at the con and find out a little about some exciting things coming to the show. Then if it weren’t for that rag tag of space Guardians this episode could have been titled the Joshua Williamson hour. We got two books from Mr. Williamson cracking our top picks of the week. First up we’ve got the always amazing Nailbiter #3 followed by the new Robocop #1. Finally a Robocop Vito D can hold his head up high about. Have we talked about those Guardians yet? Rocket Raccoon blasts his way into our hearts with his new solo title from Skottie Young. The Legendary Star-Lord gets his own solo title as well. Amazing Spider-Man #3 has Vito D’s attention this week and we get a great jumping on point to Jeff Lemire’s awesome Green Arrow run with Green Arrow #33. Plus Southern Bastards #3 makes our must read list and should be on yours as well. All this plus the LFM crew has some exciting news about hitting the road again for some appearances. Those Guardians though…..

Lil Furry Monster Presents: LFM's Pull List: Issue #55 “More Than Meets the Eye”

LFM's Pull List: Issue #55 “More Than Meets the Eye” It’s a Vito D takeover. Los swore he wouldn’t be caught dead anywhere near Transformers: Age of Extinction so while he was out living his rock star dreams, Vito D used the opportunity to bring us his review of the latest installment in the Transformers movie franchise. Hey, Mark Wahlberg is in it! It was a good week for Vito D. The highly anticipated Geoff Johns / John Romita Jr. takeover of Superman has finally arrived with issue #32. Did the new issue stack up or is Vito D’s hero doomed for mediocrity since his name is not Batman. Our other comic picks of the week include Robert Kirkman’s Outcast #1, Stray Bullets #4 and Alex + Ada #7. Remember when we told you Los was out living his rock star dreams? We meant in front of the stage of course, not on it. Los went to see his beloved Phantogram and wait until you hear about the tri-county nonsense he got himself into this time. Only Los….
